bout Museum of The Future
Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, this Museum is a stand-out compilation of publications, exhibitions, theatre, artworks, and many other immersive experiences.
The exterior of this iconic museum shapes like an asymmetrical torus embellished with Arabic calligraphy that says, “The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. It isn’t something to await, but rather create”. These are the words said by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister of the UAE & the Ruler of Dubai.
The man behind this architectural marvel is the architect Shaun Killa, who designed the structure of this museum in a way that represents the vision of Dubai City towards the future. The green grass bottom below it represents the earth, and the void in it represents the future unknown to us all. It presents a striking blend of the past and the future through advanced technology and traditional art forms. The calligraphy of the words crafted over it is by Matar bin Lahej, a famous Emirati painter, sculptor, and photographer.
The museum showcases Dubai’s spirit of welcoming courage, culture, innovation, optimism, and various social outlooks.
